RE: Farm update
Now I'm wondering about this term: "dirt farmer." What an odd choice of diction. Why do characters in westerns always say "dirt farmer"? Why don't they just say "farmer"? To their credit, they spice things up sometimes with choices like "sod buster," but really, what else are you going to farm besides dirt?
Well, I guess all kinds of things actually. People do farm odd things -- sponges, for example.
If my "Hugening" / "Subliming" pitch doesn't work out, maybe my character could farm sea weed and be persecuted by his sideline sponges. New title: "The Spongening."
