Interesting article. The movie really is full of wonderful characters who aren't plot-essential. However, an essential one who doesn't get enough attention, imo, is Maude. Brilliant noir femme nutjob. Julianne Moore didn't just kill the part; she executed it.
Now then, I have a Lebowski fan quiz. We know (from the Viva Las Vegas driving scene) that Bunny did not lose a toe. But the one Walter and the Dude received was genuine. Whose toe was it?
