RE: Anybody read any good books lately?
When I was a new faculty my faculty mentor told me wise words: get on committees that either do the important things or never meet. I went the latter route. Although I do enjoy grant panels on the federal level.
I am reading 2666 right now. Whereas I am not a lit guy at all, this is so far a fucking bizarre mind fuck of a read. Not sure where its going 1/4 of the way through but am enjoying it immensely.
Next up is either 100 Years of Solitude or Ligotti's Teatro Grosseto. Maybe both
