RE: still an awesome game
Unbelievable amount of destruction.
I can't believe I haven't noticed this before.
I'm not even sure what kind of artist thing I was doing the last time I played this game. But it is at least interesting that I learn new things and see new places every time I play. This would probably be my 20th playthrough over the decades.. It's amazing to still see places that you have certainly never seen. Not once ever, even though there have been at least several playthroughs where you have tried to explore as much as a map as possible.
But anyway, yes this freaking ranged capricious hunter dryad is like a nuclear launching beast. I don't think I've ever seen this level of RPG power in any other game. You know, I think it might be the community patch what makes the difference. But the difference seems to be something on a core level of programming which the patch doesn't really modify At least not to this type of extent I believe. Anyway, aside from actually knowing how to build a proper character in this and understanding combat art regeneration and cool down and breakpoints and a bunch of other modifiers which also pertain to regeneration... The quick cast feature is absolutely devastating when used with both keyboard and mouse to where you only use the mouse cursor to aim at a creature and then the keyboard to do the actual quick casting of a combat art. It just endlessly launches a rapid torrent of machine gun fire at everything and it's like total destruction because of all these additional damage types and life leaching that create all these extra on-screen effects. There's just so many things going on. It's so much RPG power damage all over the place. It's totally the both badass thing ever
