Certain things still urgently need fixing in the vanilla game, but mod authors don't seem to have the competence to do it.
1. AI pathfinding and broken meshes.
2. Stupid settler behavior (see above).
3. Beds apparently disappearing when you leave a settlement -- I say apparently because the counts only show up in stats, and when you return to the settlement, you not only see the same number of beds but the stat's "correct" themselves. This has been attributed to over-population and over-building, which both affect recalculations and cause a lag in how the world is rebuilt once you leave and enter settlements. I think it's just bad memory use programming. It's especially bad when there's not a clear demarcation between settlements, as in the cases of Sanctuary/Red Rocket and The Castle/Spectacle Island. You should fix this so I can have massive settlements with stupid populations.
