RE: Borderlands 3....
I haven't decided whether I like Tiny Tina's Wonderlands yet. In this one, the writing is much worse than in BL3 and completely estranged from BL2. The D&D/fantasy jokes sometimes hit but often miss. Tina herself is usually funny, but that's mostly because Ashley Burch is a very good voice actress.
The story is moderately amusing at best. Most of the laughs come from how Butt Stallion is used, and this gets pretty funny. There's a whole lot of woke checklisting goin on, which I don't like at all, but the gunfights tend to be fairly good but not as crazy as the endgame ones in BL3 get. I'm only lvl 11, so this will probably change.
My class is a Spellshot, which is a kind of mongrel version of the Siren. I think it could be fun if the game would cough up better loot -- especially better spells and wards. It's very stingy right now. The magic is pretty weak sauce, and the guns are junk. It's a miracle that we aren't wiping in every fight. Hopefully, this will change.
Anyway, it's what you think it is -- a kind of rejiggered version of Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep, a BL2 dlc. What will save this game is powerful magic, much better guns, and more explosions. Also pegasus mounts that turn into death stars in the shape of sharks with laser cannons protruding out of their mouths.
