Borderlands loot system tries to mimic Diablo, which means you should be speed-running boss fights on the highest difficulty possible and ignoring everything else on the map.
Pre-sequel at least had the gun grinder, which I so far haven't come across in 3, but I'm not really sure how much motivation I'll have to play it all the way through. I also have no idea how there are 2 Tina games when she is the most annoying character in the game.
