Moby-Dick is pretty absorbing. It gets its bad reputation from people who are assigned to read it and put it off until the last minute, realizing too late that their CliffsNotes won't save them.

Don Quixote is very great. People are surprised to find out it's not Man of La Mancha. I love both equally.

I don't read much since I retired. What are you interested in - American lit? British? Other? Period?
