Subject: RE: book

That's reassuring at least. I also have a copy of St Augustine's Confessions that I was supposed to have read in a Great Books course at some point but I think we only did passages instead of the entire thing. I kind of hate confessionals and religiously inclined writing but things were pretty ideologically fluid at that point in the church and that I find interesting.

Similarly I've only read parts of Canterbury Tales, and after The Decameron (which has good stories throughout but really gets rolling the last couple of days IMO) I'm thinking I should do it up fully too. Also Herodotus's Histories and History of the Peloponnesian War I guess, but neither have interested me over other things I have accumulated to read.

See that's the larger plan, to not buy more, but read what I have. Then I went and checked on the 1941 hard copy of Quixote, and I found it was only the first part, and in hunting for a similar vintage Part 2 I got into the translation issue, and, welp, here we are, with a new copy. At least I got it on Kindle so I'm not adding to the general clutter we are trying to clear out of here.

Of course these things won't read themselves while I adventure in the Forgotten Realm but what can you do?
