I think if Augustine, Chaucer, and Herodotus had been given access to BG, they would have played it (at least until they got eaten by a bear).
A five-year or greater deferral may be a blessing, ya know, so's you can pile up more in yer 403B or whatever. I wish I had been able to cope and stick it out so I could have a bit more interest pittance, but I don't regret getting out of the joke higher ed has become. Except for some occasional online class I slog through for mad money, I do exactly what I want when I want and don't much regret being poorer.
