RE: Horizon Zero Dawn ruins you
I was wondering why I was seeing all those ebooks and other text objects. For some reason, I just never got into the original Deus Ex, but I loved the loony tunes plot of DXHR. There were so many conspiracies it was like they were trying to pack a bunch of clothes into a little suitcase and everybody was piling on top of it to get it zipped up. I'm not a fan of exposition in "found" objects. I hated it in Doom 3 and it gets tiresome in Zero Dawn. I know it's a complicated story, but there's just too much of it stashed in weird places.
I'll be looking for that bank job. I was hoping to stealth the whole game, but I had to shoot some a-rabs in the tutorial, so I've decided to just do whatever seems expedient. I did stealth past the mafia goons harassing Dr. Koller, but only because when I tried to use guns, they laughed as they magically absorbed my bullets and shot me in the face.
