To reiterate, I know what to do to attain workable damage and resource-management, but Blizzard has made sure I won't be able to do it any time soon. So, I'm trying all kinds of things. Meteor, even with fire-related paragon buffs out the wazoo, is rubbish. I'm switching to Blizzard because I have a related protection aspect, and I think I can actually use Frostbolt with Blizzard to do some damage while Frost Nova is on cooldown. To do this, I have to give up Flame Shield.
This is how broken the sorc is. People think you're crazy if you don't have two shields to rotate between. This is nothing new. The D3 wizard had to clutter up the hotbar with crap skills to make anything work, which convinces me that Bobby Kotick's ex-wife likes to play mages.
