Yes, yes, I know I can put bosses in stagger with this spell or that combination, and then I can do massive damage while they're defenseless. The problem is, it takes me ten minutes to stagger a boss, and my damage ain't massive. So I've gotten pretty good at dancing. Jerome Robbins would hire me on the spot.
