well... shit.
metrod prime 3: corruption is definatly, by far, absolutley hands down, the best console game out there.
i had mixed feelings about the first 3D metroid game (metroid prime for GC). the 3D transition itself did very well especially with the ball morph but the game was flawed i many ways. mainly huge endless complicated levels, almost impossible to complete. probably the most difficult fps in existance, if not thee most difficult than its the second most difficult.
mp3c kicks the action up into high gear. i cant begin to list the changes they made. to simply put it, its fun and
very
well made.
i was expecting another re-hashd mp1. and for the first 10-15 mins, thats exactly what i thought i was getting. boy was i wrong.
the level design ranges from great to amazing, tons of scripted events, coherant and decent story line that ties with the action pace of the game, radical assed boss fight that involves you falling through an endless tunnel while fighting some kind of giant space taradactyl at TOP SPEED. falling falling falling, the fight would change up and go into different sequences of you involved with the taradactyle, it was radical. and to top it off they threw in a bunch of whole new features and clever ways to interact with objects and levels. for example, you can climb into your spaceship and put it into battle mode. this displays a combat HUD and changes all the lights into orange. also, you can drop a blast shield down which covers the entire cockpit. both of these spacehip features are there for no apperant reson. that or i havent played long enough to see em in action. either way, its cool.
