By hat upgrade, I just meant a better hat. I played enough to get a taste of the different attack stances, the haiku bullshit and other open world nonsense. It's the same formula used in multiple games and nothing stood out to me as particularly unique. The game felt like more of a grind because of it.
The only saving grace of Jedi Knight was that it was released at a time when the market was starved for 3d accelerated fps games. Pretty much any fps game that came out during that time would get the same treatment regardless of how bad it was (ex. Turok, Unreal).
