One minor correction on JW's demolition comments: the demo damage does actually count even if you don't activate it via waypoint: I actually completed one using erppcs, got bored, walked to the waypoint and had about 10% left to go. So you need to activate it I think even at 0% left, but its all guesswork at that point.
p.s. I played MW online and while the gameplay is very similar, its a cash grab in that you cannot possibly grind without putting real money out.
