Sim had a Livejournal back in 2000?

I don't think I even knew that Livejournal existed back then...

I wonder if Sim actually lives in Lubbock, Texas as it says on his Livejournal profile, or if that was some random sort of joke. Google reveals that Lubbock is home to Lubbock Christian University. Is that where Sim teaches? Or is it perhaps at Texas Tech University, Lubbock?
