go get a-squared, its free and is just as good if not better then nortons. its trojan definitions are the most defined on the plannet. something no other AV has.
when you scan files under 10mb on jotti (http://virusscan.jotti.org/) it uses every AV known to man, except nortons because nortons dosent make a linux version. and when you have been scanning files for years on jotti you pick up on how defined some AV's are. trojans are the most dangerous thing on the internet. its dev team is the worlds leading trojan hunters, a-s will eliminate
anything
thats intended to steal information (keyloggers) and it is confimed that its detection rate of even the most hidden underground hax0r trojans far surpass nortons abilities.
its abilities to detect lower threats like botters, worms and viruses are average. which is probably around the same level as nortons. im not worried about those as those things dont end up withdrawing all the money out of your bank.
oh and one more thing about a-s. it dosent take over your entire computer. even thoe norton mabey uptadted and running more efficiantly now, it still is bloated ass ware. a-s background monitor is very faint, you have the option to bypass the install of it and the entire app itself is like 10mb.
