I'm not familiar with all the dremel attachments, but you could probably try felt-type materials. I would imagine it's only some minor surface rust, so it shouldn't be too harsh on the attachments. You might even be able to prep them with a car wash, and a shammy with a little elbow grease - enough so you see clean metal.
