I'm not really a fan of that hardware, either. I wish it's quality would be more like that of the iphone, but you know, with a qwerty keyboard. But alas, I have sprint, so for a top of the line smartphone, this was the only choice I had.

The OS is pretty sweet. It certainly has a few bugs that need to be ironed out - I had to reboot it multiple times already for various different reasons. The best thing would have to be the amount of apps that is already available - many of them free. Some of the functions take a bit longer to perform than on my centro, but that's mainly due to lack of physical shortcut buttons, and the need to actually slide out the keyboard. Palm will be releasing a centro-like version of the pre soon, but it comes at the cost of a smaller screen, and I think lower performance.

I ended buying it because I just broke my centro, and since my contract ended in June, I was able to pick it up for $150. Definitely worth the money.
