ILA, I think the Bel Air was weak not only because it was a body on frame instead of a monocoque chassis, but not only that, but supposedly chevy ended up straying away from the stronger (but more expensive) ladder-type frames.
While I'm not positive, I'm pretty sure the malibu weighs more than the bel air too.
