Many hotels have a system in place that allows the various service people (dining, housekeeping) to see your name when you call from your room. With this, management implements a policy where the staff people have to repeatedly address you by name. Now, not only is it irritating to hear your last name repeated 10 times within a span of 30 seconds, but it's made even worse when the staff mispronounces your last name differently each time they say it. I say stick with "Sir", "Maam", and "Hey youuuuu guuuuyss!"
