Necro, you are correct on every point. I might even concede the rogue vs. warrior thing because I haven't gotten to the end game with this rogue. Nonetheless, my rogue is backstabbing the CRAP out of revenants (of course, Allistair has to stand in front of the revenants and use Taunt).
Anyway, yes, the end game battles against the Archdemon's generals and other elites = tough. This is not a noob game like Oblivion. The player must be very manly to see it through. It requires tremendous courage, character, cunning, and other c-words. Crybabies will fail at this game. My testosterone level has increased by 56%.
In my second playthrough, I have gathered my four armies and am doing the pre-Landsmeet tasks. In the meantime, I'm traveling around taking care of various sidequests, e.g., hunting revenants and collecting the Juggernaut armor, killing Flemeth, killing the Sacred Urn high dragon, etc. My party is raping everything.
You are also correct about Entropy spells. I wish I had invested more heavily in this line. Rest assured that I will do so in the next playthrough. Will also probably do another DW warrior for that one -- or another rogue (lololol).
