If you're serious about NWN2 . . .
1. Play a cleric. Trust me. The game is so full of undead that you really need a cleric early in the game -- first because the game doesn't give you one until about halfway through, and second because you need at least two powerful clerics for the endgame, which is spilling over with nasty undead enemies.
2. Park your party in a safe place and get your dwarf fighter to pull enemies. Do this especially in the areas with enemy rogues.
3. There's a really bad dungeon in Neverwinter that's full of ghouls and other nasty enemies. Take Elanee and Cassavar.
4. Develop weapon crafting early. In the late game when you're building your fort, you'll have a choice between building a tower for some knights or building a temple. Go with the temple so you can get crafting materials. You need high-level weapons to deal with the undead. This is how you get them.
