phpBB is sort of growing on me. It's all finished. Everything is done. There's no part where I have to drop to the database level and fix things. It's fairly secure. I don't have to think about fixes or updates. I dig it.
It would literally take me 4-8 hours of work to reinstall the old MBM, at a minimum, and I just can't be fucking bothered right now. I doubt I ever will again. Like half the database has to be set up manually. I have a script for all the tables and everything, but not the default guest account, groups, permissions, initial topic, all that has to be built by hand. Then there's event driven code that I have to create the events for in the database, manually register all the listeners for those events by creating table rows for them... I never created an install script for the stupid thing b/c I never figured I'd have to do it from scratch again. Last time I brought the database over. This time: nope.
