A friends girlfriend took us to her brothers place in Warren for some damn reason or other. He had just gotten off the graveyard shift and had spent a few of those early mornign hours drinking in a...bowling alley. Naturally.
Anyway, he was a Warren cop, and while he stuffed his face with greasy bratwurst out of a styrofoam container he handed my buddy his Baretta 9mm. Buddy swings it around, points it places, and stupidly unlocks the safety. I take the gun out of his hand, drop the magazine, and work a round out of the action. Cop handed buddy a loaded, hot, service revolver.
Cop shrugged and said, "I would have stopped him from shooting anything."
Month or two later, some kid showed his girlfriend the defleshed skull of a mutual acquaintance he was keeping in his fridge. She threw it into a plastic bag and ran to the cops. Cops that toss folks loaded guns.
Gotta love Warren.
