The thing about Morale is that once you get your army population into the 3-figure area, you have to be fighting constantly. I own Curin castle (I think that's the name of it -- it's the one south of Thir. I also own Reyvadin in what was Vaegir territory before I led a reign of terror and claimed most of it for the Nords.

Anyway, traveling from Reyvadin to Curin will make Morale drop like a rock, but I have to do it frequently. I need to collect revenue from Reyvadin and patrol around Curin to prevent the cursed Rhodocks from besieging it. I constantly have to find little parties of Sea Raiders along the way. This is the only thing that will maintain Morale at Average or above. With over 100 men in your party, even bandit groups of 30-40 do no more than maintain status quo. For some reason, Sea Raiders make Morale go nuts, even in small bands.
