I can sum it up easily: Do not pay full price for the game, definitely not in its current state. The game's multiplayer component is marred with technical problems and some baffling gameplay design choices regarding melee combat. I believe you aren't interested in the single player component, but it can be summed up as perfectly formulaic.
Either wait for a Steam half price sale, which shouldn't take too long to be honest; Or wait and see how Natural Selection 2 or perhaps Colonial Marines pan out, which will hopefully be better designed.
