I wouldn't say that, Area 51 could be used as a sleeping aid by patients suffering from chronic insomnia. AvP has, at least during the alien and predator campaigns, some moments of brilliance, but it's all over much too fast however, as both those campaigns are considerably shorter than the much poorer marine campaign.

The multiplayer is promising if, and only if Rebellion pulls through with dedicated server support and some game play balancing patches. Right now, it's hard to get a good game going, and when it does you'll notice some moments of utter ridiculousness with marines not only blocking a sneaky alien's quick attacks, but also countering them with a melee attack of their own and knocking them to the ground, this sad chain of events indeed looks as stupid as it sounds.

You might also have a pretty evenly matched game, only to have the host get killed, rage quit and take everyone else with him. Any redeeming qualities the game might have are completely ruined by this.

As I said, there's a glimmer of hope in there, but as it is now, definitely not worth the price of admission.
