Wow. I just got through watching this thing on the History Channel about Pablo Escobar. I've seen it before, but I learned quite a lot both times. Pablo was scary, but the forces arrayed against him were even scarier. There's an important lesson here. If you're going to run a drug cartel, don't start assassinating the Colombian police and military, don't get the CIA and Delta Force involved, and don't think that your rival drug cartels won't fund their own army to kill you and everybody in your family.
