I can't think of a single more dangerous job than being a photographer "embedded" with Iraqi militants. They have chosen a side to be on - unfortunately for them, it was the losing side. I did get the sense that the tone of the pilot's and gunman's voice changed when they found out about the children, although they ended up justifying the tragedy to themselves stating they shouldn't have been taken there in the first place. Which unfortunately is true despite that it happened by the hand of the US forces.
What ever happened to the golden age of war - you know, when they used simply carpet bomb entire cities?
