Yes, back in the golden age of chivalrous Quake 2 mp, when you were on dial-up and some guy on broadband cut you to ribbons with the hyper blaster, he would politely say "lol" and chase you around so you'd know he hadn't forgotten about you. Nobody puts much effort into this kind of caring anymore.
