the only auto-aim i noticed was when crouched behind cover (using bumper) and then popping up with the aim trigger.
Like what you said, I find it almost impossible to shoot on the move, or rather to maintain speed while shooting on the move.
Also: horseshoes is too difficult, I keep losing money.
