beeleh - we were at leo carrillo state park at the campground area (not camping, just parked) we took kanan-dume to get there. look on google maps for leo carrillo camp ground.
the area of trees stretching north of it is actually a seasonal river. you can see how far it stretches as a crack in the mountains. that whole river is covered with huge boulders. ya we went up that shit. it wasn't the gradient that made it hard, it was the damn rocks.
