RE: PS3 or a media center PC?
In my limited experience, Asus has been good. They add little extra-mile touches to various things, and for me they simply work right out of the box and keep on working. The Gigabyte board I bought recently = same. Come to think of it, all the boards I've used have been perfect except a couple of Abits, but I think they had help getting flaky from my ultra-flaky power company.
